Hi, I am Katherine, but most people call me Kat. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), and Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) with over seventeen years of experience working with individuals and families across all age groups.

I work full-time as a Behavioral Health Specialist in a rural K–12 school district and provide part-time therapy through my private practice, where I focus on supporting Colorado’s agricultural and first responder communities. I grew up on a fifth-generation Black Angus cattle ranch in the San Luis Valley and now raise longhorn cattle and Berkshire hogs with my family on the eastern plains. I have a deep understanding of the lifestyle, culture, and unique stressors that come with rural and agricultural life.

Therapy with me is down-to-earth, supportive, and focused on what truly matters to you. I use a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, and solution-focused techniques to help you work through whatever feels heavy, whether it is the past, the future, or the daily pressure of showing up for everyone else, including the animals, the land, and the responsibilities that never pause. You do not have to figure it all out alone. I am here when you are ready.
